World Champion Earl Henry

Congrats to St Pete local and 66 friend Earl Henry.

This past week at the

14th UCI Track Cycling Masters World Championships 2008

in Sydney, Mr. Henry won Gold in both the 500m Time Trial and the Sprint competitions.

I've compiled video here of his races off of http://www.cyclingmasters.tv/.

This first video shows the 65-69 age group 500m TT.
Earl rides in the last heat along with Aussie
Keith Oliver.

This next video is Round 1 of the Sprint Finals.
Unfortunately their is no visual, just audio.
BUT, you will hear that it is definitely worth listening to.
You'll at first hear the sprint for the Bronze medal between Russian Arthur Salzwedel and Aussie David South.
You will then hear Earl Henry up again against Keith Oliver.
Listen for what happens to Earl.

Round 2 is up next(with video).

Round 3

This... is cool.

Wasn't it?  And it looked like Keith won that one right? No... Rider 306, Keith Oliver, was relegated for "dangerous riding during the race." Earl Henry takes the win and the World Champion jersey. Congrats!!!
